November 15, 2021<\/em><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.9.2″ text_font=”PT Serif||||” text_text_color=”#363636″ text_font_size=”20″ text_line_height=”1.5em” background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” custom_margin=”10px||40px||false|false” text_font_size_tablet=”” text_font_size_phone=”” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|tablet” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]<\/p>\n The Better Homes Ottawa – Loan Program (BHOLP) allows Ottawa homeowners to apply for a zero-interest loan of up to $125,000 or 10% of the current value of the home to cover the cost of home energy improvements. It also gives homeowners guidance on how to decide which retrofits to implement based on cost-benefit and greenhouse gas reduction potential.<\/span><\/p>\n Eligible projects include:<\/span><\/p>\n The City is working with EnviroCentre, an Ottawa-based non-profit organization, to administer the program and connect homeowners with qualified contractors.<\/span><\/p>\n The BHOLP is part of the City\u2019s Climate Change Master Plan. Funding is provided through the Community Efficiency Financing initiative, which is offered through the Green Municipal Fund and delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
